Senior Campaign Manager, EP100

Summary

An opportunity to join a leading international climate NGO working with over 100 multinational businesses to drive energy productivity improvements and net zero carbon buildings. We are seeking a dynamic EP100 Senior Campaign Manager to drive delivery of our campaign strategy. 

Reporting to the Head of Energy Productivity Initiatives and with line management responsibilities, the Senior Campaign Manager is part of the Business Action team and contributes to our programmatic work across the Built Environment, Industry and Energy systems.

About the role

The EP100 Senior Campaign Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of the campaign operations in line with the programme’s theory of change, its annual business plan, and funded deliverables and other commitments. The Senior Campaign Manager holds relationships with key external partners including the World Green Building Council and the We Mean Business coalition and leverages these collaborations to support the delivery of the campaign and enhance its impact. 

 

Direct Responsibilities 

Programme Strategy

  • Assist the Head of Energy Productivity Initiatives in the evolution of the EP100 campaign strategy and planning, including management of Theory of Change and workstream development.
  • Oversee implementation and management of the systems and processes to underpin successful evolution of the EP100 campaign, including dissemination to regional offices in India, China, and USA.
  • Support systematic knowledge exchange across other projects coordinated by the Climate Group. 
  • Feed into the Climate Group’s organizational strategy through articulating pioneering practices from the campaign and support systematic knowledge exchange across the business action and Under2 programs. 

Programme Delivery 

  • Supported by the Project Officer and Engagement Manager, coordinate the planning and timely delivery of core campaign activities, internal governance, and reporting processes. 
  • Develop and maintain systems to improve planning of activities, monitoring progress and maximizing impact.
  • Lead on the design and management of campaign activities such as events and workshops, annual disclosure process, and the planning and delivery of sub-projects in line with campaign priorities and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver sub-projects in line with campaign priorities and deliverables.
  • Work closely with the Climate Group’s communications, fundraising and events teams to coordinate cross-team activities. 

Fundraising and Financial Management 

  • Manage EP100’s financial and business planning. 
  • Liaise with the Climate Group’s Fundraising and Business Development teams to deliver a systematic approach to the management and growth of EP100 income and resourcing. 

People and Skills 

  • Ensure effective working relationships with the Climate Group’s regional offices and manage operational relationships with key campaign partners including World Green Building Council, and funders. 
  • Manage international partnerships in Asia, USA and/or Europe should this be required. 
  • Represent EP100 and the Climate Group at events and meetings as required. 
  • Line management of the Project Officer and Engagement Manager.

 

About you

You will be able to demonstrate proven capabilities in the following areas:

Essential: 

  • Commitment to the mission of the Climate Group, EP100 and our business action campaigns.
  • Proven track record of success in project delivery, including managing partners and subcontractors to ensure fulfilment of the project schedule and quality of work. 
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multi-task in order to meet strict timelines and budgets.
  • Excellent team-building and communications skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Demonstrable experience of working autonomously for project planning, management and reporting. 
  • Experience implementing projects and/or programmes funded by philanthropic trusts and/or through membership fees. 
  • Experience of working in a global environment.
  • Experience working in (or in partnership with) the private sector and ideally with senior/board level personnel. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a range of cultural contexts. 
  • Proactive and able to work independently and unsupervised to deliver tasks and achieve project objectives. 
  • Team player with the ability to identify where support is needed and comfortable delivering an administrative workload where necessary alongside more strategic activities. 
  • A strong desire and ability to develop skills and experience in line with the needs of a rapidly developing campaign.

Desirable 

  • Knowledge and experience of energy efficiency and net zero carbon buildings (detailed technical knowledge is not a requirement of this role), as well as other energy-related climate issues. 
  • Strong research skills. 
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders. 
  • Understanding of how environmental campaigns create change.

 

Location

You will be employed at our London headquarters. Since COVID-19, our London office has been working mostly from home but you will also have the use of an office near Borough for key meetings with colleagues. We are also in the process of moving offices to a new permanent London location. Until then, this role can be done remotely but will require the post holder to be based in the UK. This position may require international travel.  

 

Terms & Conditions

This is a full-time permanent position. The salary for this position is £37,600 - £42,300 per annum based on experience.
